Geography Department, Arya Kanya Degree College, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj was established in the year 2017. Since then, it is running under the self-financed scheme.
Lecture series on different topics as per the syllabus is basic teaching procedure of the department. Besides, field visit, group discussion, project implementation and assignments pertaining to different topics are other methods of teaching in the department.
Special lectures on “Environmental Knowledge Issues and Prospect for Human Welfare and Sustainability”, was organized by the department during 2021-22.
Earlier Dr. Sulabh Srivastava was taking care of routine academic work of the department. Currently the department is running under the supervision of Dr. Sandeep Yadav.
