The Eco-Club of Arya Kanya Degree College organized a Tree Plantation and Distribution & Awareness Programme. The event was graced by the Chairperson of the Governing Body, Shri Pankaj Jaiswal, who led the plantation drive. Principal Prof Archna Pathak welcomed this green initiative and said we need to reaffirm our commitment to promote harmony with nature to develop a just, prosperous, and sustainable society. Dr. Mamta Gupta, Director of Law Faculty, said the Eco club will motivate students to keep their surroundings green by undertaking plantations. Vice-Principal, Dr Ibha Sirothia, said an Eco-club is an excellent way for students to develop leadership skills and life skills. Chief proctor Dr. Ranjana Tripathi hailed the students and said, “Let us become conscious citizens who care for the earth.” Dr. Sudha, Associate Professor, Department of History, generously donated 70 herbal plants to enrich the college’s green spaces.

The event also featured active participation from faculty members and students. Prof. Nilanjana Jain, IQAC Coordinator, encouraged students to take ownership of the activities, which included a Bottle Plant Activity promoting recycling and creative gardening, as well as the installation of bird shelters to support local biodiversity. Students also prepared and presented inspiring slogans on environmental protection, adding a spirited touch to the campaign.

This collective effort reflects the Eco-Club’s mission to instill environmental awareness, encourage sustainable practices, and inspire the larger community. Through such initiatives, the club aims to nurture a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
