Arya Kanya Degree College offers three year undergraduate programme in Political- Science, English, Sociology, Education, Sanskrit, Hindi, Music, Medieval History, Ancient History, Economics, Philosophy, Geography and Fine Arts

The College also offers B.Com three year degree programme.

The learning outcome of graduate programme is to develop skills and gain knowledge. Learning is a life-long process in which this period is very crucial. Our programme made them able to solve problems to real life situation. They develop analytical reasoning and critical thinking. Our students develop communication skills as they also participate in extracurricular activities.

Our students also develop research related skills. They learn how to co-operate and do team work.

Our College also offers Post- Graduate   Programmes in eight subjects- Hindi, English, Music, Sociology, Economic, Education, Sanskrit for two years.

The learning outcome of Post- Graduate Programmes reflects disciplinary knowledge, understanding, Research related skill, and critical thinking.

The overall program Educational objectives of the College is

Political- Science 1. To understand the inter- relationship between policy decision and its effects on society. This is achieved through a comprehensive teaching of the practice of public administration in India.

5. To inculcate the values of tolerance, progressiveness, and fraternity that contributes towards the making of healthy and prosperous society.
6. In M.A assignments are also given from the session 2019-2020 to train the students in writing research papers.
Philosophy 1. Philosophy provides the vision of living a human life. Philosophy plays an important role in maintaining man as a human being.
2. Philosophy provides human beings with their Preya and Shreya by interviewing them with various aspects of their cosmic and transcendental life. It creates an ideal society for human by developing their human qualities.
3. Various branches of philosophy such as Western Philosophy, Indian Philosophy, Epistemology, Philosophy of Religion, Socio- Political Philosophy, Logic and Ethics provide special contribution in accomplishing their task.
4. Philosophy plays an important role in the development of concepts. It not only built the ideal human by impartial, logical and intellectual evaluation of various thought systems, but also contributes towards the nation public welfare.
5. Philosophy as a subject makes an important contribution in the development of all human-qualities of today’s generation.
Music 1. Music Vocal gives and brings peace of mind and helps in full development of personality.
2. It helps in strengthening respiratory system.
3. Wide Career opportunities after completing graduation and post graduation.
4. Music (Vocal) has two parts- Theoretical and Practical. Through getting training in practical part one can perform shows.
Medieval History 1.Understand the basic themes, concepts, chronology and the scope of Medieval History of India
2. Think and argue historically and critically in writing and discussion.
3. Prepare for various types of competitive examination.
4. Critically recognize the Social, Political economic and cultural aspect of History
5. Understand the History of Countries other than India with comparative approach.
Hindi 1. Students are enabled to understand development of Hindi Language, Various genres of Hindi Literature in different time period.
2. Students are enabled to develop deeper understanding of the socio- cultural, political, economic and religion condition of the India.
3. Students are acquainting with the movement, renaissance and social reforms.
4. Students are given knowledge of various forms of Poetry, Drama and Fiction in Hindi Literature
5. Students are given knowledge of Kavyashastra and biography of major poets, writers and novelist of various periods.
6. After the completion of the program students are encouraged to pursue higher education and take up research.
7. Students are placed as translator and Rajya bhasha Adhikari and various other job in Government and Private Sectors
Education 1. After completing graduation, students may go for higher studies.
2. They may go for professional courses like B.ed and other teaching training programmes. They may serve the society imparting Adult Education.
3. They can help in Environment Protection

Ancient History 1. Studying ancient history allows is to observe and understand how people and societies behaved, after that they will make a good civilized citizen.
2. The subject of  ancient history develops our knowledge in the historical context
3. The subject is very useful for to get lots of Private and Governments jobs as Lectures, Curators, Officer, etc.
4. It teaches us to be proud of our culture.
5. Ancient history subject in very useful for museums- archaeological department work.
Sanskrit 1. Program of B.A in Sanskrit is designed to provide foundational understanding of Sanskrit Language and Literature
2. Students are enabled to understand techniques of the grammar, Sanskrit Language.
3. We enable them to understand the philosophical thoughts and logic.
4. We make them quaint with Veda, and great poet, dramatist and novelist of Sanskrit Literature
5. We make the students familiar with the noble tradition of Indian Literature, Natyshastra, Rasa, Alankar, Chandra.
6. Students are encouraged to understand the glorious tradition of Sanskrit Bhasha and its impact on Society
7. After completion of the program students are encouraged for higher education in Sanskrit Literature.
8. Students get opportunity in the field of religion, astrology, to understand and translate the manuscripts and academic domain
Economics 1. The emphasis will be on giving conceptual clarity to the student coupled with the use of mathematical tools and reasoning. It covers general equilibrium and welfare, imperfect market and topics under information economics.

4. Economics is the study of how societies, governments, businesses, household and individual allocate their scarce resources.
5. The study of Economics can also provide valuable knowledge for making decision in everyday life. It offers a tool with which to approach questions about the desirability of a particular financial investment opportunity, whether or not to attend college, the benefits and costs of alternative careers.

Commerce 1. The study of Commerce provides vast knowledge in the field of, Banking Sector, Finance Sector, Transportation Sector, etc.

 

2. Students can go for further studies in professional field like C.A, C.S, C.M.A, as well as other courses.

 

3. Students get well- resourced learning environment for Commerce.

 

4. Graduation of Commerce having knowledge of GST and Income Tax has several job opportunities in future. Person having knowledge  can start this own consultancy, GST Accountant, excise executive, Income Tax are Prosecutor Tax Assistant, Inspector, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax etc.

 

5. Students will acquire the knowledge, skills in different areas of communication, decision making, innovations and problems solving in day to day business activities.

 

6. Business and Company Law includes all the important and necessary laws that govern the formation and functioning of a business. Various Job opportunities are their Legal Counsellor, Notary, , Legal Researcher, Assistant Professor, Company Secretary, Corporate Sales Manager.

 

7.  The knowledge of different specializations in Accounting, Costing, Banking and Finance with the practical exposure helps the students to stand in organization.

 

8. Students can independently start-up their own business.

 

9. Further the students are encouraged with add on value based and job oriented courses which ensure them to the sustained in the organization level.

 

 Painting Department 1. Art is a wide range of human activities that involve creative imagination and an aim to express technical proficiency beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.
2.  It helps the students in having a good understanding of the Arts.
3. Imagination and creativity are one of the basic requirements of this sector.
4. Students develop good technical skill of drawing, painting , sketching, Mural painting, abstract art, applied art, sculpture, textile art etc.
5. After the completion of the Program with various genres of Painting in different time periods the students are enabled to become self- employed and get job opportunities.
6. After B.A (Bachelor of Arts) students are able to do Master of Arts and can go for research in particular field.
Sociology 1. The curriculum framework for Sociology is intended to help students understand the nature of society which is web of Social institution i.e., Family, Education, Religion, Political , Economic, etc are interrelated and inter-dependent one another.
2. Being the study of Society the scope of Sociology is very wide. The subject does not confine its study to only economic or political life of human beings but to all aspect of life with which men in society is concerned therefore we say that sociology is mother of all social sciences.
3. The objective of the course is to introduce sociological concepts and theories to students and enable them for critical thinking and observation at national and global level issues.
4. It deals about social problem of inequality and development in realm of gender, environment, polity, economy and culture.
English Literature 1. BA Programme in English enables our students to express themselves accurately in both oral and written communication.

 

2. Students develop deeper understanding of drama, poetry and fiction from varieties of cultures, language and historic periods.

 

3. Students are given foundational knowledge concerning historical, socio-economic and cultural conditions of British and American society.

 

4. Students are made familiar with Australian poetry, Canadian, Nigerian, Caribbean and Sri Lankan poetry. They are given basic knowledge of Commonwealth literature.

 

5. Students develop critical thinking and understand the role of literature in raising, consciousness, addressing social issues and bringing remarkable change in society.

 

6.  After completing the programme, students can get placement in private sector, publishing houses, media and schools. This programme aims to infuse students with confidence and make their communication skills better. Students are motivated to pursue PG and research programmes in literature.
Geography 1. Geography is an important subject and it has wide possibilities in all aspects of human society. Students are made familiar with the functioning of the Earth and its atmosphere, human resources, metals, environment, etc.

 

2. Geography can help us understand the planet’s movement, changes, and systems. Topics that are relevant to today such as climate change, water availability, natural resources, and more are much easier understood by those who know geography well.

 

3. This programme includes GIS, travel and tourism, urban planning and regional planning, etc.

 

4. Students are acquainted with significance of the management of human resources, natural resources which allows the students to move forward in various sectors
5. This programme provides an opportunity for short-term diploma in Remote sensing or GIS and other important field of Geography from the point of view of employment.
